The upcoming event is part of the Euroscola competition, specifically organized for students from St Dorothy's Senior School.
Euroscola is a prestigious programme run by the European Parliament that offers young people from across the EU the opportunity to experience a day as Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). Participants engage in debates, discuss pressing European issues, and vote on resolutions in the official seat of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
For this event, students will participate in a series of activities, including an introduction to the session, an EU-related quiz, and the Euroscola tests. The tests will consist of a combination of multiple-choice and open-ended questions, aimed at evaluating students' knowledge of the EU and European affairs.
Successful participants will represent their school in Strasbourg on the 7 February 2025, where they will join students from other EU countries to simulate parliamentary discussions.
This event is an essential step in preparing De La Salle students for the Euroscola competition, fostering a deeper understanding of European democracy, and promoting active citizenship.
